Editor's Rant

Editor's Rant is where I, the editor, publisher and chief financial support for this newsletter, present my opinions and you the reader, can respond.  There are some rules.  First, no TRASH language, that being language where your momma would wash your mouth out with soap.  Second, be very sure of your facts.

Well another election year is upon us and in this writer's humble opinion, our choices for the next president of the United States is less then inspiring.  In fact, they look down right grim.  Folks, as voters, it is your job to pick the best possible person to guide this country.  If you do nothing else in 2008, make every effort to learn about each candidate for office.  Are they truly capable of doing the job they are running for.  To be very blunt your vote could very well change the future of the this great country.  Lets please make sure it is a future that everyone wants!

Who Said That?

"Treat Me Good, I'll Treat You Better; Treat Me Bad, I'll Treat You Worse"

Well if you figured that Ralph "Sonny" Barger  said it then you're right!

Now for this month's Quote

Each month we print a quote - all you have to do is figure out WHO SAID THAT?  The answer will appear in the following month.

"People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs."

Entitlement

by David Straiton

The current 2008 Presidential Election has polarized America. There seems to be a trend emerging though and that is one of Government Mandated Entitlement programs. This trend, while defying logic, is gathering strength and should be treated as a major movement. The poor, oppressed and down-trodden have been ignored for too long.

I really like the part about paying the health expenses of the myriad of drug addicts that have chosen not to improve themselves by way of vocation and only exist to use and sell drugs. I like the part about how people can choose to purchase cigarettes for $5 per pack and a twelve pack or case of beer daily $12-20 per day but be unable to procure health or car insurance.

This is a great country! People can choose their priorities like booze, smokes, drugs, and unemployment over health and the Government will come along and make sure you have a health insurance policy for your unhealthy lifestyle.

Socialism is truly a wonderful thing. It equalizes everyone, taking away inappropriate behaviors like work ethic in a capitalistic society. If you're truly sensitive you'll see the logic in compensating everyone at the same level regardless of how much they contribute.

I do think we need to look at increasing the social entitlement programs to provide the necessary electronics and transportation that are the basic building blocks of civilization. No one should be without a Mercedes or Lexus and a HD 70" Television screen should be mandatory. Oh, and we should pay the electricity and gasoline bills these people have because they are entitled to it. How else could they get from bar to bar or make a run to their drug dealer.

I think we should model our society after Zimbabwe since taking away farms from families that owned them for generations and giving it to those who were MORE entitled. Those families that loved the land, respected it and worked it productively will just have to find something else to do.

Let's all vote in the 2008 election to the person and party most likely to increase Government involvement in all aspects of life because the Government knows best what we're entitled to. The people who aren’t entitled are the people who worked hard for what they have, they pay their taxes, and they provide for their families and have the requisite Health, Life and Automotive insurance, maybe even a retirement plan.

I even think the party should be renamed to "The Entitlement Party" where the US Constitution is secondary.

That is all! Have a nice day!

News Update for Bikers

******

From the land down under, it seems recently a pair of machete wielding thugs attempted to hold up a social center.  On the evening this pair of nimrods selected to pull their heist, it happened to be the same night a local motorcycle club was holding their monthly meeting.  When the brainless bandits announced to all their intent the bikers started throwing tables, chairs and fists at the criminals.  Needless to say there are two gentlemen that are enjoying the pleasure of the Australian jails.

In the past the social club had over had eleven such events occur.  The month before, a robber was told to shut up because the bingo players could not hear the numbers being called.

*****

Who would thought it.  Mary Peters the staunch guardian of Bikers Rights and U.S. Transportation Secretary has decide that fund earmarked for Biker Safety Courses really would better serve the motorcycle riding public by lobbying for more helmet laws.  Mrs. Peters claim to fame is she also rides a motorcycle.  Mrs. Peters was recently involved in a motorcycle accident and credits the helmet for saving her life.  Seems the fact is Mrs. Peters rolled her bike into her husband and went down.  Mary Peters, how about signing up for a motorcycle safety course, getting a vision checkup and learning how to be honest with people.

Congratulations to Big Kid and Cassie on their marriage on the weekend of the 2nd of March.  For those that did not know, this couple was involved in a motorcycle accident that required Big Kid having some major surgery on his arm.  Please keep these two in your prayers.
